For mobile marketers, there have never been more bulls-eyes across Latin America than there are today.
According to the latest industry data, the base of mobile phone users in Latin America has soared to approximately 400 million as of the end of 2014.
Not surprisingly, a significant share of this base — one-third — resides in Brazil.
Approximately 78 million residents of Mexico are now mobile, with Colombia playing home to 32 million million. Close on Columbia’s tail for third place among largest mobile communities in Latin America is Argentina, where 30 million mobile users now reside.
While smartphone growth across Latin America is predicted to grow modestly this year, nowhere will growth be more pronounced than in Brazil. Nearly 49 million residents of Brazil could be mobile by the close of 2015.
