On January 9th, Apple Inc. revealed to the world their revolutionary iPhone. Just like the iPod’s arrival, this product has created a huge buzz around the Internet and mobile industry. Directly targeting competitors such as Palm, RIM, Nokia, and Motorola, the iPhone stands out of the crowd with its extraordinary user experience, simplicity of use, and amazing features.

“Every once in a while a revolutionary product comes along that changes everything.”

“The iPod changed everything in 2001. We’re going to do it again with the iPhone in 2007.” -Steve Jobs

With features such as a Rich HTML e-mail program, a full Safari web browser, and possibly chatting capabilities in the future, it is easy to see how this device will effect e-mail marketing.

For the first time consumers will be able to read full rich text HTML e-mails. These e-mails are not the cut up versions you’d see on a Treo, Blackberry, or Windows Mobile device. This is the real deal. This e-mail program will also work with any IMAP or POP3 e-mail account. IMAP includes providers like Yahoo! Mail, MS exchange, .Mac Mail. POP3 is for Google Gmail, AOL Mail, and most ISPs. Not only is this a cool feature for the consumer, but also e-mail marketers will be assured that there message is displayed properly.
